Business Development Manager, AEC

Summary: The Business Development Manager is a motivated sales professional with at least 7 years of construction services / program sales experience. This person will quickly understand, educate, and sell Sevan’s capabilities, along with the value we bring to Fortune clients in the retail and restaurant space. Heavy outreach experience and passion is expected with results of converting leads into appointments and sales. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to sell Sevan’s offerings to prospects and warm leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with new clients by phone, email, text, etc., to create emerging opportunities and keep Sevan top-of-mind of client.
  • Land and expanding new client relationships for Sevan’s services.
  • Develop business development strategies within the organization, focusing on all possible avenues to support continued growth.
  • Work with Sales & Marketing team on lead generation activity and tracking.
  • Utilize LinkedIn, ZoomInfo/SeamlessAI and other lead generation platforms to track upcoming client activity and target contacts.
  • Communicate opportunities to expand Sevan's business in new ways with clients.
  • Creating and implementing target client lists and sales strategies.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Support lead development thru Marketing initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of sales experience in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry is preferred.
  • Experience with national and international clients.
  • Proven track record of closing deals, with a history of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Must have experience leading and executing full sales cycle (prospecting through closing).
  • Must possess excellent perception and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly recognize opportunities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Experience in multi-site projects preferred.
  • Constant verifiable quota achievement, in an individual contributor sales role.
